yep used it, bought in iraq some two years ago. prety handy and comfy bag, but i use it as civil/travel bag mostly, too little for field ex, especially 3days.
oganizer pouch is nice and wery handy, for traveling stuff.

It's great for civilian travel. Make sure it comes with some warranty because the first one I had had faulty stitching on the shoulder straps and I had a hard time getting it exchanged. It's a civilianized version of the 3-day assault pack with another small pocket for little stuff. It will serve you well.

They sell them at every PX around here and while a lot of people have them, I've heard they don't hold up to well. As a general use bag that isn't going to go through too much hard use, then I'd say get it. But something you will be using a lot, especially in a field environment, I'd say no.

roger.......what kind of use?

I've got a bunch of day packs, patrol bag type of packs that are like my "man purses".

Bu I find that frameless bags can suck carrying them all day

Ah - got yer. Its going to be a man-purse in a mixed environment. Basically its going to be the personal admin bag. A lot of the time I'm not out in the ulu or in the backs of vehicles but working in and out of buildings. In those circumstances, the bag would hold various folders/laptop, waterproof top, washkit, thermos and reading material for the prevention of sodomy amongst the troops. When the ex is over, the same bag is a man purse out and about in town. I dont like using my dpm patrol sack for that purpose as I like to blend in. Obviously when I'm tactical I wont be useing it. I was thinking black or coyote.

I've got a black one. It's fine for regular traveling but I don't think it would hold up well in the field.

Never used 'bug out gear' stuff but it always struck me as 'halfway house' type kit. Not cheap and nasty, but not up to a lengthy tour/rough handling.

I know people who have the Warrior Assault Systems pack, the 'Assault Pack', which is their 3 day pack. It's made in china but seemed to survive a tour of afghan.

Other than that there are the Snugpack bags (I've never used them mind) which are cheap enough and seem to be sturdy. Have a look on ebay as there's an OG stamina going cheap (not mine or any of my mates, I hasten to add!). The smaller 35 litre ones go for £30 new. They don't have the organiser space of the bug out or W.A.S., but seem good value.

- that describes me

cheers for the info fellas . I've gone and got the bug out. Lots of organiser space and seems reasonably built. It wont be coming out with me into the ulu, but used for pers admin when things arent too strenous in the green world.
