ANCYL will 'eliminate' Zuma foes
10/09/2008 14:16 - (SA)

Johannesburg - African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) leader Julius Malema on Wednesday vowed to "eliminate any force" blocking ANC president Jacob Zuma (http://www.whoswhosa.co.za/Pages/profilefull.aspx?IndID=927)'s path to the presidency.

Speaking at a celebration of the ANCYL's 64th birthday, he told media that the "Malema generation" would be responsible for making Zuma president of the country.

"Whatever the judgement... come 2009, Zuma will be president," said Malema, referring to the Pietermaritzburg High Court ruling expected on Friday on whether Zuma's corruption charges should be scrapped.

"Any force on our way we will eliminate. We are on a mission here. We will crush you. It doesn't matter who you are, even if you are in the ANC," Malema said to loud applause.

He expressed optimism that the court application to have the case against Zuma dropped would go in his favour.

"We believe in that judge... he looked very sober to us... that's why we are so convinced that we are going to get a positive judgment."

These guys are really starting to piss me off.

Man I fear for South Africa, I really do, rather than get into a big rant about it I'm just going to post this which pretty much covers my views and be done with it.

There is only one way that anyone can construe those comments - and that is the path of violence. He must think Zimbabwe is the new utopia as it appears that violence suits his aesthetic. What a dildo. I hope South Africa quickly moves past this dangerous period of uncertainty. The other thread in which anti-corruption unit is being abolished and news of political nature surrounding Zuma suggests a piece by piece dismantling of what has been built up. Checks and balances threatened. Malema's course is the path to Zimbabwe or worse.

Here's a response to his videos by some African-Americans, hopefully not the best representatives. I could only watch about a minute before I lost my cool, but will try to watch the entire vid...

Ol' Julius and his ilk will destroy the ANC if they go on like this - I hope. Much rather a power vacuum in the gov. than the black hole between julius's ears thank you.

Have popcorn , will watch.

I guess even the bottom of the gene pool has a right to an opinion, they can say what they want, but you and I both know they don't know s**t about South Africa, politics or what's really going on.

Since ZA has been going to such hell, is there any regret about giving in to Majority Rule back in 94??
