Anyone know if the NZDF issue ALICE packs in DPM, or where I might get one?
I know they use DPM and I think they used ALICE packs... Looking for a medium with a frame...
Tried KiwiDisposals website but no joy.

Cheers. Nothing on there at the mo, but will keep looking. Although I'm sure the P&P will be a killer...
BTW, is a swandry simply a woollen jacket? Any good?

Haven't worn one for years, IIRC they're a bit scratchy, but it'll keep you dry, not really light weight though.

Sounds like you need to ditch that nasty Aussie stuff and buy yourself some silky smooth NZ Merino.
Either that or a much cheaper, much lighter, synthetic alternative that don't stink :)

These were genuine, made in NZ, itchy scratchy jumpers, made from pure ******ly abused kiwi merinos... p-)

Hmmm, so, DPM swandry not worth the bother then?
I guessed it'd be a bit on the heavy side being wool but thought if it keeps you dry and warm it could be a good idea, esp in winter or when static...
Plus it'd be a sure winner in the 'most bizarre combination of rig' awards... :p

You'd have to wear it all the time, it'd take up half of your bergan otherwise.

Ah. Probably good for cavalry types then with their upper bodies out of the hatch Rommel styley, wind rushing through their hair.
But probably not so good for me!
