State police have charged a 15-year-old Latrobe girl with child ****ography for taking photos of herself and posting them on the Internet.

Police said the girl, whose identity they withheld, photographed herself in various states of undress and performing a variety of ****** acts. She then sent the photos to people she met in chat rooms.

A police report did not say how police learned about the girl. They found dozens of pictures of her on her computer.

She has been charged with ****** abuse of children, possession of child ****ography and dissemination of child ****ography.

Police said they are trying to identify all the people who receive photos from the girl.

Even if i think it`s a kind of ludicrous, thanks to remind me the meaning of the law, that is supposed to apply to anyone.
I still have one question, if you`re arrested for drinking underage, it`s a misdemeanour right? while ****** abuse and child **** is a federal offense and a felony, so wherever you go you`ll be in trouble for the rest of your life.
Isn`t it a little exagerate to treat this persone like a threat to socieaty>
Or is it simply that in USA you don`t need t be a threat to society to become an inmate?

Well I don't know enough about the case to consider those questions. The headline only said that she was charged with child ****. However the charges may have been lessened, or she may not get convicted because of the uniqueness of the case. She may end up only getting sent to counseling for a while. I don't know. I understand your questions though... she isn't a threat to the whole of society. Just to herself.
