can you put a password on a folder so that only you can open it? One that you would have to type in before opening the folder?

What OS are you using? In the NT-series (win 2000,NT,XP) it's easy. The same goes for Linux. In the win9X-series you have to use some 3rd party program, if you really want them to secure.

You can do it with XP in case you have NTFS...

If you have XP you can create different user accounts and as administrator restrict what the other users have access to on the hard drive. I did that with my roommate.

I ntold my roommate to go but his own Freakin computer and stop moochin off of mine. especially since he was a fan of "download and install anything that pops up because it must be good if they want me to have it". I had viri, malware, and, spyware that symantec hadn't ever heard of before.


And that wasn't the worst part. he was going to some "questionable" web sites....
