We only have it in Straight of Gibraltar, In peninsula side, and in Ceuta and Melilla, and the straight makes only 15 from a side to thE other. Even if their are old they are really well keeped, our induStry makes ammo for this kind of big guns, we have also some missils and all this systems are controlled from an anti NBC bunker.
And with this guns we can make fire over MOROCCO :D

Blip Blip.. No good idea to have static/slow moving artillery in modern warfare. Within three minutes from the first round fired they themselves have artillery shells over their position..

But if they're firing at Morocco they should be pretty safe ;)

We also have Santa Barbara 155 wich are moving all the day, like our missils.

Look like fine guns. Sweden also uses that kind of slow artillery. I just meant to point out that to survive and succeed on the battlefield of today and tomorrow one need something like this:

The lead words being "Gun and Run" and "Multiple Round Simultaneous Impact" (MRSI)

http://www.artreg.mil.se/images/local/dumper_grupperad_van.jpg

Bofors FH77 BW L52 155 mm
http://www.boforsdefence.com/eng/products/art3_fh77b.htm

"The new artillery system will have a range of up to 60 km, an automatic loading system (20+20 rounds) capable of handling Excalibur and Bonus, as well as modular charges. It will be capable of six round Multiple Round Simultaneous Impact (MRSI), as well as engaging mobile targets. The system shall be capable of a roadspeed of at least 65 km/h, and be transportable by rail and air. The operational mobility is a vital factor and the good all-terrain capability of the system gives ability to use modern tactics and capability of autonomous behaviour. The system will be armored (shrapnel and small arms) and a secondary armament of an automatic grenade launcher (40 mm Mk19) or 12.7 mm HMG (.50cal M2HB). The system will from the start be equipped with an internal communications system and will be upgraded with the gear that newer C3 systems will demand."

Deliveries starting in 2005

If I'm not wrong those are M114 from the 32nd Field Artillery Regiment in Melilla.

Melilla is a Spanish town in North Africa. The military units there have a very low priority at the time of getting new equipment. All to avoid upsetting Morocco, despite in case of war they would be in the very first line, in the Southern shore of Gibraltar strait. After Pearley Inslet crisis, our goverment changed its mind. The Mechanized Cavarly Regiment in Melilla got Pizarro IFV , a certain improvment from M113. And 32nd Regiment probably will get those Santa Bárbara 155mm guns soon.
