Is it just me or is the position of the Eotech on top of the G36 out of whack. How do you get cheek placement? You don't I guess. Can somebody enlighten me on this please?

Very nice vehicle.
The problem is that it is destined to have the same fate as the HMMWV.
Iraq/Afghanistan proved that these type of lightly armoured vehicles provide inadequate force protection.
The majority of vehicle related combat deaths in Iraq/Afghanistan involved HMMWV's. The light armour is ineffective againsts the two biggest insurgent weapons: the IED and the RPG.
The up-armoured HMMWV helps but was not designed to accommodate the excess weight. Thus, transmission and engine problems have been experienced.
These types of vehicles will have to go through a radical redesign in the future in order to survive the battlefield environment.
Quess what?
The dutch special forces, KCT, is looking for a special vehicle that is heavyer than a normal Mercedes G and more equiped with weapons etc.
We might be getting this one...i hope
Or the Land Rover version
Does anyone have a pic of the Land Rover?

I wouldn't compare it directly with the Humvee. It's far more an option besides the LandRover.
I think the AGF/LIV is not designed for urban warfighting but plays it's role in reconaissance in wide open areas. Of course there's also a threat of IED/RPG.

That's not the LIV (SO) or AGF Serval.
That's the "Wolf ESK"
http://www.rheinmetall-detec.de/img/news/4_esk.jpg
The Wolf ESK is an armored, air portable derivative of Mercedes-Benz G model 270 CDi vehicle suitable for special operations forces. It features excellent drive and off road characteristics, high reliability and low operating costs.
Different mission modules can be adapted to Wolf vehicle for missions ranging from materiel/personnel transport to command and control and communications. Its high mobility, low weight and firepower make Wolf suitable for special operations fighting missions.
The weapon options for the Wolf include a 12.7mm roof-mounted machine gun or alternatively a 40mm grenade launcher. Moreover, Wolf features front and rear mounts for 7.62mm machine guns.
The German Army could acquire up to 900 Wolf vehicles for its special operations forces.

It has to be a tradeoff in some form. You won't get far in Afghanistan driving around in heavily armored four-wheelers, especially taking into account the type of work these guys will be doing it won't work.
Iraq is totally different though.
We ran into more than enough problems getting from A to B with our unarmored guntrucks, three extra tons won't help driving through that river and going up that 20-30 degree slope made of loose rock and mud.
Just my opinion...

that's not armour, it's a sand channel, used for getting a bogged down vehicle out, when you're vehicle get's stuck, you put these under the wheel's to give some traction and support and you can drive out, hope this help's:)
