None of them look outstanding IMO, a few of them are already used. But they are pretty neat. Just not super outstanding.

The one at the midle on third picture itīs my favourite.Iīve read that multicam was designed by a spanish military man from Mountain warfare school.

What the hell? We introduced a new uniform barely a year ago! Now another one?
Not that I don't like the idea of getting rid of the crappy current uniforms, which have a tight and uncomfortable cut and outdated - as in not digital - local woodland pattern. Let me see some baggy, comfy uniforms in digital camo and I will begin thinking we are in the 21st Century.
Note to the JUJEM (our JCS):
And, for the love of Christ Almighty, get rid of that ancient 6-colour desert camo pattern we are using in A-stan, you are embarrassing us! learn from the Marines, or the Italians!

Or the Canadians, eh? LOL

No one pays attention to the Canadians.
The first one on the left looks like a non-digital ACU.

Yeah, right. Like you didn't stick your nose to the TV screen when Alanis released the Thank you video.

rofl Good one! Or, like the USMC and US Army didn't copy CADPAT....

But seriously - none of those choices really leaps out at me... and they all seem to be modelled on the ACU style (come on, be original!!). Where's the "famous" Hyperstealth Spanish coloration of Spec4ce?

Talking of that, I haven't seen Guy Cramer around for a while now. He must be probably too important for us now.

Hi All
Most of these patterns seem to be like the first version of what later became the US Woodland - the one with the small structures - I can't remember the name right now.
Printed in a variety of colours, the variety is way too big in terms of intensity to be final choices.
Some of the fabrics ring a bell, they may be commercial prints. Maybe this is the beginning of a trial - not everyone relies on photo-simulation.
They seem to use multicam as a reference. Not a bad choice, based on what I saw of the Spanish country side.
The middle uniform on the second image looks interesting, slightly tiger stripy.
What's the latest on this? Have any of the choices been narrowed down?

RoK forces for the most part using real old uniforms. Actually more than just the uniforms. Geez... and it's supposed to be a rich country.

I hate them already.
Sometimes I wonder what the hell is wrong with the JUJEM or whoever is making the final decisions about this.
Never mind, I won't have to wear them anyway.

It seems someone thought that switching colour on Crye pattern would do wonders.

cut of a jacket looks like the copy of ACU. Trousers - look like BDU, with retarted HUGE flaps on the cargo pockets. I wonder why they didnt copy the ACU trousers

As Catch22 already mentioned, the pattern (at least the woodland one) is heavily influenced by Multicam. However, there is almost no contrast between the different colours used, so at a distance it will look like solid dark green. We will never learn.
The cut seems to be as tight as before, reducing the camo properties of the pattern, reducing ventilation and making the uniform less comfortable. Again, we will never learn.
Was it really that hard to come up with a good digital pattern, now that everybody is using them so we can correct the mistakes made by early adopters? Add a comfy loose cut in a resistant material like ripstop heavy-duty cotton and you have a winner.
Would be interesting if all these countries that are putting into service these new patterns, published the results and how they determined the winning pattern.

" resistant material " you mean resistant to fire?

" resistant material " you mean resistant to fire? No, resistant as in the-crotch-doesn't-rip-open-the-minute-I-stretch-my-legs resistant. Sturdy. Heavy duty.
The desert version seems to be using a dark tone of bordeaux red rather than some kind of brown or even some kind of grey.

I think it is the same dark brown-reddish tone of the current Infanteria de Marina desert pattern.

To me the new camo looks much redder than the one of the Spanish Marines which , atleast to my eyes, looks unambiguously brown. But maybe it's just the distance...

Reddish tones have always been considered the best color for desert camouflage. Unfortunately, the ideal seems to be a reddish gray, and soldiers aren't really crazy about wearing pink!
This darker red may be the a bit of a compromise.

but the cotton+nylon is better than just a simple cotton.

but the cotton+nylon is better than just a simple cotton.
This depends on the mix, British Combat jackets tended to turn into a string vest as he Nylon wears out the cotton in the weave. :-(
I hope this has been cured.

That's the woodland pattern. I was talking about the desert pattern (they have one of their own, diferent from the 6 colour choco-chip pattern of the Army).
