Hamas Offering Online Courses in Practical Jihad

by Nissan Ratzlav-Katz

(IsraelNN.com) The Islamist Hamas terrorist organization has initiated an online course in explosives, military weapons and tactics for would-be jihad fighters.

The sophisticated course includes highly detailed practical and theoretical lessons tactics for would-be jihad fighters. Aimed at the population of the Palestinian Authority, the course is called "Get Ready" and is designed to prepare the population for war with Israel.

First exposed outside Palestinian Authority and jihadist circles on Monday by Israel's Channel 10 TV, the sophisticated course includes highly detailed practical and theoretical lessons, as well as sample videos of jihadist attacks. All manner of weapons are described, analyzed and their proper use explained by masked Hamas instructors.

Students also learn about such things as the manufacture and detonation of explosives, the functioning of rocket launchers, weak points on IDF tanks, and the physics of firing at a moving vehicle. Lessons cover possible scenarios such as an IDF ground incursion into Hamas-controlled Gaza or an airborne Israeli commando assault.

Each instructive section concludes with test questions. For example, a fatigues-wearing Hamas teacher asks, "A truck is moving at a rate of 15 meters per second, at a distance of 200 meters, from left to right. How will you succeed in hitting this truck?"

In its report, the Channel 10 corespondent speculated that the instruction was not only intended to teach Hamas members to more effectively fight Israel, but also to prepare them for confrontation with the rival PA terrorist movement, Fatah. Such a confrontation has already occurred periodically in recent years, but Hamas hopes that an armed clash with PA Chairman's Fatah forces in Judea and Samaria would end with the Islamists in control of the entire PA.

[NB - can someone please inform Hamas that jihad actually means 'inner spiritual struggle'? Maybe in an email.]

Screen grab from course.

There is some comedic value to it on one level, like in the 1-800 Hamas terrorist hotline in Zohan.

But on another level, it is really worrying. People being able to learn about weak points on Israeli tanks online, is most disturbing. Would be jihadis from all over the world could log on and learn how to be a terrorist, and attack trucks. It is not the sort of information that the jihadi should have access to.

It also shows exactly what sort of organisation Hamas is.

It also shows the commitment that Hamas has to fight Israel, and that they are never serious in building peace. All talks of cease fire are simply time to rebuild and re-arm for the next attack.

Maybe the Israelis or others could hack the site and alter the details on constructing explosives and detonating devices? All in the cause of helping those meet Allah a little quicker...p-)

Leftist radicals are mostly quite pacifistic now, they are spineless and toothless when compared to RAF guys of 70's.

I think that this will find more audience in wanna be islamists in west due to language.

This is good example how peaceful Hamas is there is no peace as long these scums live.

Go right ahead. Might want to get your proxies all worked out though, or you'll be getting a concrete timeshare in sunny Cuba care of Uncle Sam.

It's nothing new that Terrorist organisations are using the internet to spread propaganda and training material. This is daily business today.

It's a private forum, you ****tard. And everyone with a bit of a brain, be it right or left, is actually tolerated on this forum, but not people like you who just come here to spread nonsense.

As for the Hamas Courses, considering that the summer is over, and the kids cant go anymore to the lovely summer camps Hamas offers, they should have some way to still learn and enjoy those things.

What's new about it. During the Lebanon war this forum provided even better information about weak points on Israeli tanks. Those Merkava4 armor modules crossection photos were surely interesting for Hamas as well.

But it's quite funny that Hamas enters 21st century. Didn't they already released a video game with israeli sodliers as "the bad guys"?

So if they say they have a website do they know what or who is providing all the IT info and which company/persons has created the site for them ...

Is the website registerd in Europe or the US or middle/far east Afterall website domain names can be bought for little but running websites depending on what content your wanting does cost money , from 30 /150+ a month .

But i am bemused on why make it public when i thought the option would be is to keep quiet about it .....

Kind Sir, have you read forums rules. Those state that this is primarilly a PRO WESTERN and PRO ISRAELI web community.

but if i say im a fan of palestine, im persecuted. why is that?

If clearly state that you are pro palestinian it is not agains rules but you must make clear line with terrorism and political means. HAMAS is clearly terrorist scum organization. It should be eradicated from face of our planet.

I too feel sorry for Palestinians. For their support of these scum and inability to deal with them accordingly by them selves. Hamas holds all inhabitants of Gaza strip as humanshields. The children are innocent and they deserve better, but world isn't always fair. Hopefully it will be more fair for them in future and there will be lasting peace between peace between Palestinians and Israelis. Unfortunately Hamas is blocking that right now and currently that is just a dream.

Frankly, I think it's irresponsible for Hamas to have these courses in explosives when the consequences of an accident are most often fatal or very disabling. If somebody got hurt, Hamas should be sued to the ground.

In terms of an accident. Remember those incidents on the news in Lebanon and Gaza where bomb makers have accidents in their own homes?

So accidents killing the bomb makers making bombs to blow up civilians, is more of a relevant consideration - than terrorists being instructed on how to kill civilians?

The Occupational Health and Safety concerns of would be terrorists, matters far less in the scheme of things - than the promotion of an ideology that wishes to kill civilians.
