If said 'suspect' was aiming a anti-tank weapon at the Police officer I would hope the cop would kill him at the very least.

strangly enough Police in HK are only armed with six shot revolvers, and it has been probably years since anyone has been shot by one... or even killed as there has been no need.

HK police has an excellent record, and I have lived in HK for ages and never ever been troubled by anyone.

Saying that we do have the SDU, they were trained by the SAS before the handover and we have the PLA and they are very well disciplined in HK.

The lethal volley that killed the pictured Sadr-guerilla was said to originate from a Tank.

American soldiers clashed Thursday with other militants loyal to al-Sadr in Baghdad's Shiite district Sadr City. At least one militant was shot and killed by a U.S. tank as he prepared to fire a rocket-propelled grenade at the Americans.

Police or military, it doesn't matter. The outcome would have been the same.

Ok Benny imagine this, someone shoots an RPG at you, and you are a soldier (which will prob never happen), you can just sit there and try the keep the peace by saying "hey, stop that, someone is going to get hurt." Then the guy who fired the rocket will look at you, and laugh as he fires another volley at you, and your comrades.

Police don't deal with people with RPG's , benny . You should wake up or live the computer , kid . And then ask any Policeman in Hong Cong what he's ROE , and if he can shoot on someone who pointing simple 9 mm pistol on him (let's live RPG alone meanwhile , ok ?) .

There is police shooting drill , called instinctive shooting . It's when you draw and shoot as fast as possible . Ever wondered why they teach that, if when a guy that pointing weapon on you , then you can't shoot back , and you have to ask politely "Put that thing away" ? Think , think good about it .

Or people with RPG's and Bazookas run everywhere in your home town ?

The man with the RPG is a legitimate target, any and all means should be use to neutralise him, don't start with the whole Americans are savages thing.

War is hell and at times savage action is called for, can you use the same defence for the savage action of the PLA against unarmed students?.

yes, I saw the actual camera footage yesterday morning (June 11). It was aired on Telemundo or Gala. (One of the hispanic channels) It shows this guy and a (bunch of other people behind a wall.) This chap has this RPG-7 and edges his way onto the street. He is squatting down and shoulders the lanucher. He is hit with one burst of 7.62(?) he falls back onto his butt and then another burst of rounds is fired, killing him. Job done.

And would you look at that, no kids or babies killed. How about that.

BTW, if you are going to go, totting around bazookas or recoiless rifle's. And you decide you want to aim it at a some soldiers. Expect to be shot. Do not expect a damn Latte!

Actually, yes...

Cincinnati Enquirer

Cincinnati police shot and killed car-theft suspect Jermaine Lowe, 21, of Mount Auburn after police say he shot at them near the intersection of Vine and McMillan streets, a block from the University of Cincinnati.

I watched it happen as I was drinking a Rolling Rock in a bar right across the street.

He never claimed it was bad. He is appalled at the fact aht a bunch of 20 year olds are hopping up and down and discussing where the tracer passed through is body.

Which I agree is pretty damn childish.

Good or bad. This dude is dead. He deserved it, let it lie. WHY anyone wants to watch a video of a human being get stitched with MG fire is beyond me...

Our troops defended themselves, in the case, very successfully.

So let it lie...

This guy was hit in the head with an un-tracered round or a deflection from the pavement. The pic that looks like the tracer is smoking him is an optical illusion, the tracer is bouncing off the pavement to his right.

Look at the ultra slo-mo video.
