So far I am just happy as hell and breathing a sigh of relief that **** from the Green party didn't beat Minister of Defense Peter MacKay.Time to pipe up Canadians, who are you hoping forms a Government? Do you hope for a Majority or Minority? and why? Conservatives have a pretty big lead right now btw with 115 seats to the Lib 70.

Discuss!

I'm back home for thanks giving and my mom is jumping up and down for a majority conservative. She wishes that the quebecers can help them out for seats.

Not likely, the Conservatives aren't doing so well in QC it seems. They got totally shut out for NFLD just about.

As it sits now Cons are at 135 with less than 20 seats to come so a majority is out of the equation. At least it's coming back as a stronger minority.

the bolded part.

The best news were that Elizabet May lost, and the Greens still failed to get even one seat anywhere...
In before they start crying about the unfair, un representing election system that needs to be reformed, because they actually got the support of majority canadians :roll:rofl

Never saw that one coming. Well my riding almost only voted Conservative, and looks like my province is the smartest of all of them!!!

Conservative Minority Gov't so they won but not the win they wanted. Stephan Dion is probably going to have to be replaced as leader of the Liberal party. NDP are still the token protest party (thank god) and the Green party is still a joke (thank god x2).

Well sorta but not really, for example Geoff Regan in my riding is actually pound for pound a better rep than Rakeesh Kohsla the Conservative leader. I voted Conservative because I think with regards to the National Platform rather than local. Geoff Regan won by a landslide in my riding so the better rep is in and I voted the way I want to in so far as the National platform so its sort of a win/win.

P.S. Thx for sticking this :D

Conservative in my area closing in on the NDP, dunno if he'll make it though.

If he does win, I think my gf will banish me to the couch.

Is there any particular reason for why the Conservatives are weak in the Maritimes?

In Elizabeth May's speech(the one that ctv cut off like 10 sec in) she was already bitching about people not being able to vote because they didn't have a drivers license.

It was pretty close in my riding, Holland won by 7%. I helped out the conservatives in my riding and represented the tories at one of our polls. Tories have 145 (10 shy of majority) and the Grits 78.

Yep, although this might force the Libs to get rid of Dion as Leader and make the next election more interesting, after at least 4 years this time:)

I'm glad is the conservator who win the election with a strong minority , i prefer strong majority but with Bloc Quebecois and Liberal today that is more harder to be majority in 2008.
