Parts of the SMAF Navy Corps 17th Coastal Flotilla and the 18th Missile Ship Flotilla with Rear Admiral Jovan Grbavac in charge and Italian Naval Forces have successfully completed the "Joint Horizon" exercise. The life-saving operation was conducted in the international waters, 33 miles from our coast, in very bad weather, which only made it more important and proved their participants to be great experts in their line of work.
As the sailors said, this was a routine job for them but there were a lot of things to be done on old ships in technological sense so that the cooperation with the Italian sailors would be efficient and memorable. And worthy of history. This is the first time that the two naval forces Southwest from the Bay of Kotor, "the brides of the Adriatic" were engaged on the same task: helping out a cargo ship that caught fire.
Our reporters recorded in word and on camera part of the "Joint Horizon" exercise held on June 4th in the international waters of the Adriatic.
