Hope it works.

And if it does, wouldn't care if the US Army gets ugliest BDU award

Marine Corps uniform > Army uniform

Why not make the velcro patches and tabs blend in with the uniform. Those are the things that would really stick out I'd think.

Marine Corps uniform > Army uniform

agreed, that particular uniform inthe picture looks like it is faded. but whatever, if it works you wont notice it too much ;)

If it was Nigerian camo or whatever, everyone would be going "LOL THAT LOOKS LIKE DOG****"

but since it's U.S Army camo it's all "Yeah, personally I think it doesn't look all that great but if it gets the job done then it's great..."

Of course, it doesn't matter how it looks as long as it does the job.

People are responding to this unifrom surprisingly negatively!

I think its gonna be great, its basically a mass produced version of the RAID BDUs, which are suppose to be great.

spartan: people don't have too much issue with the design of the BDU, the pockets, materials and such, the problem is the colors chosen. Apparently the army is trying for one combo that fits all enviornments. That is not possible and the resultant uniform doesn't blend into any enviornment.

:| Hhhmmm, what can say,

if anything, this would do well in an urban battlefield.

What is with the green rank, name tapes and skill badges!? Ahhh, stick with the woodland BDU's!

Well, with the Air Force looking at BLUE tiger stripe, I guess the Navy should be testing a new uniform also. (I would suggest orange color of some type, in case you fall into the ocean, it will be easy to find you!)

The color I can only see working in limited environments (It would have been awesome in the rocks of A-stan). Everything else is the result of years of begging by all the combat op groups. No bottom pockets, they're worthless, tilted top pockets are so much easier to get your hands in (look at old green vietnam era uniforms, hmmmm, looks like we had it right and changed it, typical Army). Pockets on the sleeves, (the only pockets you can get too when you've got your vest on. Don't like the velcro on the front. catches on too much stuff and makes horrrendous noise (with vest off of course). I agree with whomever said the velcro needed to match better, even a lighter color is better than a darker one, sounds strange but it sticks out less when it's lighter.

My two cents!

I think its just the picture. Im sure its really darker than it looks.

Or atleast I hope it is...

lol....btw it think the uniform design is great but the COLORs !! dont get me wrong not like i am going to be going to a fashion show in my bdu rofl but i am talking about enviroment effectiveness, I think that will work wonders in the desert or urban, but woodland? i dont think so. I think they should go with that uniform for desert and in urban, plus the marine marpat uniform for woodland
