I had seen this movie in Blockbuster for a while, and always passed by it, even picked it up a couple times and read the back, but it didn't say too much about it. Last night we were looking through the movies on HBO On Demand; they allow you to preview the movies..well I saw it on the list and clicked on the button to preview it. It looked amazing...It's about a young girl and her family living in Afghanistan..."Osama examines the lives of the Afghan people while under the Taliban's control, but the film also highlights lingering problems that exist even though the Taliban's control has ended." It was the first film to be made in Afghanistan in the post-Taliban era. Anyways, the girl (played by Marina Golbarhari) poses as a boy "to save her family"...eventually she is discovered.
Here is the website, the trailer's featured there if you wish to see it.

I was wondering if any of you have seen it, or have friends that have seen it? What are your thoughts on it, etc? Hopefully we'll rent it tonight and I can contribute my thoughts...it looks very intense..
