I guess you've never heard of reenactment, historical verism and so?

And about Crispus Attucks...well, I'm not American nor I am enthusiast of the 1700's period to remember such details ;) Anyway he wasn't any military from what I've read.

The "Boston Massacre" occurred on March 5, 1770. A squad of British soldiers. come to support a sentry who was being pressed by a heckling, snowballing crowd, let loose a volley of shots. Three persons were killed immediately and two died later of their wounds, among the victims was Crispus Attucks, a man of black or Indian parentage. Many historian believe that Crispus Attucks was the same man who in 1750 was advertised as a runaway slave from Framingham, Ma. A stranger to Boston, he was leading a march against the Townshend Acts when the killing occurred. Paul Revere who was one of the great patriots of his time, sketched a drawing about the massacre which took place, as well as John Pufford who also drew about the killing. Through research we can conclude that Paul Reveres and John Pufford were both important factors in capturing what really happened in "The Boston Massacre" and that Crispus Attucks was the first black to fall in the American Revolution.

So maybe he was Native or AfroAmerican but he seems to be just one of protesters not a military/Army anyway... Correct me If I missed something? I don't know if any American militias of that time consisted any black men but I seriously doubt it.

I would suggest doing a bit of research or a simple Google search before making such an absolute nonsenscial statement. African Americans served in every American war including the Revolution.

Corvette MENDI Named and Handed Over to the South African Navy at HDW

(Source: HDW; dated June 15, issued June 16, 2004)

A corvette was named by Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati at Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft AG (HDW) in Kiel today. It was given the name MENDI and officially handed over to the South African Navy.

The ship, a MEKO A-200 SAN, is the second corvette built by HDW for the South African Navy.

Her predecessor, ISANDLWANA, has been at her base in Simon's Town, South Africa, since 25 February 2004.

MENDI is the last of four corvettes to be built in co-operation with Blohm + Voss in Hamburg for the South African Navy.

Work started on MENDI at HDW on 6 December 2001. The keel was laid on 28 June 2002 and the ship floated in the large dock on 24 October 2003. The corvette will leave HDW on 18 June 2004 for training cruises in the Baltic Sea. Her journey to South Africa will begin in the middle of August.

At 121 metres long, 16.34 metres wide and 3.4 metres deep, the corvettes displace around 3,500 metric tonnes. They have a crew of around 100 men. The ships are fitted with a new kind of propulsion system called CODAG-WARP (combined diesel and gas turbine – waterjet and refined propellers), which combines propeller and waterjet propulsion. They have a cruising speed of 20 knots (37 km/h) and a maximum speed of over 27 knots (50 km/h).

The corvettes also possess outstanding stealth features. The hull and superstructures were specially designed to reduce their radar signature and their magnetic signature and noise level are significantly lower. The ships are armed with anti-ship missiles, anti-air missiles, two guns and two decoy launchers (a device for launching decoy missiles) and can carry a helicopter in the hangar.

Yep, sadly first guy got a far too small tricorn over his wig - looks silly a bit now.

Maybe that's the ghetto way of wearing it? :P You know back in those ghettos during the 1700s.

Whoever decided to use a black guy as the colonial soldier in this ceremony is a sicko.

considering you seem to not like Bush I would think you were an open-minded liberal - but this statement seems to reveal you're pretty ignorant and insensitive...
