For some reason, I always thought that the Tesla coil was safe to be around and to even walk through, that the electricity in it did not actually electrocute you.

Edit: That made me sound really dumb. I remember reading that somewhere ,but I am not sure if its true and it doesn't sound like it would be. I mean the beams of electricity are so big it looks like it would fry you in place.
