Hi there :)

I was watching this site and the forums for a long time, but couldnt be arsed to register. Well, I did it finally :)

I tool the following images on the Heldenplatz, at the Nationalfeiertag (national holiday) in Vienna, Austria on 26th October 2003. I used the search function, but didnt find anyone who posted images of this day before. Hope you enjoy it :) Please dont ask me on names of the stuff on the images, Im not that interested in the austrian army. 8 months of service were enough ;)

Please apologize the unsorted images, the bad quality of some images, and my bad english :)

Why do the "bank robbers" wear flecktarn ?

I have always suspected that the Austrians train secretly for the invasion of Germany. We must never let our guard down... p-)

Thank you for the nice welcome :)

@ benny5405:

yes, the bad boys wear german flecktarn
The vest is in french camo. Austrian army still tests these products
As far as I know, Austrian Army didnt have a desert camo before. They wanted to, or already have bought small numbers of US 3 Color Desert uniforms. Because of the situation in Iraq, they are now searching for a new desert camo pattern. Guess they dont want to be mistaken for US troops ;)

Great pics. Love that silenced Styer.

Do they do these things often in the US? I always see members posting pics of military demonstrations from other countries, but have never heard of one going on near me.
