Will you be ocassionally stopping and doing bounty hunter work and helping the less fortunate? Will there be a hot blond and an Indian with a wicked mullet following you in a winnebago?

I'd rather sit and stare at a wall and listen to the sounds my internal organs make.
Good luck on your trip, Beowulf.

I had a '58 Pan head. Really great bike and very primitive. 6 volt system sucks in rural areas, not enough light.
I think everything about fell off at one time or another. Part of the fun, was keeping it running on a run. The new Harleys are completely a different breed.

Just went for a quick ride on a rough 42WLA with a Tommy gun holster, but no Tommy gun :( .......good fun.......but different....where's that clutch again? :)

To me it was like a open **** pit bi-plane compared to the Fuji Flyers. I had a foot clutch and jockey shift (under the seat). Big Old Triumph head lamp, used 6 v. VW head lamp bulbs. My 96 FLHTCU, was deluxe, I use to joke about it having air conditioning and power steering.
I always regretted selling the bike. I had a friend gave me a 45 racing hack. I took the flarings off and made it look like a old Model T pick up bed. At first it was real interesting to use.
The other cool think I had was a 45 trike frame. I thought of building a 74 trike.

That's a Royal Enfield 'Bullet' - was originally British but now Indian - after the UK company dissolved, the Indian subsidiary continued manufacturing the model & eventually bought the rights for the name.
Its considered the oldest motorcycle model in the world still in production
and good luck on ur trip Beowulf

Taking two prostitutes with them, Captain America and Billy decide to go outside where the Mardi Gras is going on. They wander the parade-filled streets of New Orleans. They end up in a cemetery, where all four ingest LSD.
Be sure to take lots of pictures. ^^

ok. So i left fresno the other morning around 0700, there was a lot of very dense fog. it made the ride seem a lot colder because the moisture would condense on me, particularly my hands.
It took me forever to get south of bakersfield, I stopped just before a small pass, north of LA. Once i went over the pass it was warm and sunny, except there was traffic. I did however encounter a guy riding a Capt America type motorcycle, it was pretty sweet.
I also made liberal use of the lane splitting law. kickass.
It also seems that there are no gas stations on the 210, none.
Once I cleared the city and started heading towards indio I made up a lot of time. The rest of the trip to phoenix was fairly uneventful. The weather slowed me down so much that I wasn't able to make any of my planned "cultural" stops.
I stayed with a good buddy of mine in phoenix whom i consider one of my best friends. Unfortunately his roomate and his friends decided to commit several felonies involving controlled substances.
I went with my buddy to go shoot pool, when we got back the hipsters were still listening to techno "music" and discussing the merits of one dj over another. This continued until approximately ten in the morning.
.....awesome.
btw, one of the hipsters is a mental health "professional"

This leg of the trip was awesome. The weather was great, the roads were pretty open and flat, and the terrain was great looking.
Notable events: there was a piece of roadkill in the left lane, and a bird of prey decided to approach it with the same direction of travel as myself. It came down in front of me, and must have felt my approach and started to pull off and to the right. I was in the right hand lane, and I passed just under the bird. It was pretty crazy. I was going kinda fast.
more to follow.

Right on.
I'd love to take a ride to New Mexico.
Beowulf

I made it!
Got in earlier this evening, not too long after dark.
West Texas was awesome today, I was able to run wide open almost the whole day, the only scary part was the wind. At some points I was riding sideways in order to drive in a straight line.
Passing trucks was kinda sketchy because it would block the wind and kinda pull you in, and then when you got passed it the wind would hit you full force again.
Check before you throw a cigarette butt out of your car window in front of a biker, or i will kill you.
El Paso sucks.
I wanted to stop and take pictures at the texas border, but the only place to stop is at the side of the hwy and that's just dumb.
See above for the "truth and consequences, NM" sign.
Random people love to ask a dirty biker guy "where ya headed?" or in my particular case "aren't you cold"
Yes I was pretty cold some of the time. Luckily, I had my awesomeness to keep me warm. Not being a pussy helps also.... as does polypro, coffee breaks, and thinking about "that one time that one chick did that thing"
I didn't take many pictures, i was by myself, so most of the pictures I did take consist of my bike and some desolate terrain. AZ, NM and west texas all pretty much lookk the same.
I'll post anything else I can think of.
