Congrats! I'm sure everything will be fine. :D I was thinking this was coming up soon. I can't wait to see your son!

I had a C-section with my son. The recovery isn't as quick as with natural birth, but they do them all the time... it's routine... it will be fine!

Good luck!!!! woot

give your wife my best

Things will be fine. If it were a traditional ******l birth (eeech there's that word again), I would give you my standard "do not look directly at the ******" warning - lest you be traumatized for life. But my wife's C-section went off pretty well & was no sweat. I, on the other hand was a wreck & had to put the ol' head between my knees a couple of times. Remember to breathe (both of you).

My 11 year old daughter was a "C". They gave me scrubs and told me to go in and sit next to the anesthesiologist and look at my wife's face. He asked me if I was a Marine. I said no. He said "good, cause they always faint" (no offense to the resident Devil Dogs) p-) Do not be disturbed if you look up and it looks like the Doc is wrestling with the Alien. 15 minutes later they kicked me out. Done. Make sure she gets up and walks as soon as possible. Really helped my wife.

Consider yourself lucky--I was born 2 weeks late after my due date, which also happened to coincide with the 2 hottest weeks in Tennessee history. My parents had just moved into a brand new house and the AC was not working. My poor mother used to lay on the kitchen's tile floor to keep cool. Good times!

COngrats man.
Just one question.
Why is the Umbelical chord have that plastic thing clipped onto it?

It keeps the umbilical cord sealed and closed, so air, water or any germs can't get in. The cord will dry up, turn black, and fall off when it heals shut.

Lucky one...ours always had tummie aches after beeing fed.......the feeding was the wifes job, calming him down for an hour or more, trying to get away the collics was mine.....then SWMBOAAT stopped brest feeding, we just fed him the mothermilk in a baby bottle and everything was fine, appparently the little bugger was drinking too hasty and the wifes nipples had a low debit....so he sucked in too much air while drinking and hence the collics.

my daughter had collic and i swear you could count it by your watch, 7pm it would kick in and she would scream till about 930pm i had just got back from afghanistan and my patience and nerves were prety shot so i got into the routine of going to sit in front of the computer while she cried...and the habit stuck
