I remember a few months back there was a thread that showed pics of this guy jumping the White House fence and getting owned by the Secret Service. I looked all over for these pics but couldn't find em. Anyone wanna help? Thanks.

I didn't realise our guys used P90s....
I didn't realise our guys used P90s....
secret service has had them for a while.
i also think the usmc is evaluating the pdw idea for possible adoption.

They use P90's and Five Seven's. The Five Seven is a great pistol, even better with a 20 round clip.

the only praise i have heard about it was the 20 round clip, but other then that they where described as "a bad dream which fn chose to make a reality."
what? :| not my words.
but unless somethings changed i thought the ss used sigs. any one confirm they went witht eh fivesevens, although i do admit it makes a tad bit of sense.

that has got to be the dumbest thing to do.....they shoulda shot him in the leg so he can have a reminder of how stupid he was....anyway what would he be charged with? i know it will be stiff....

yeah...."shoot him in the leg". It was on the White House lawn. NOT in Tehran or Tripoli. That would have been a little too rash for U.S. law enforcement/Secret Service. (not that he wouldn't deserve it)

YUP....the secret service guarding WH use the P90 and the 5/7.....sigs are standard issue for all others, my brother in law carries the 357sig and P232(380) as back up......some word on the 5/7 my cousin owns one and it is a fine weapon....HEAD shots ALL DAY LONG at 50yrds....no time to try 100yrds but i dont see an issue with that........i dont know of any hand gun that can do that consistantly

Probably to avoid confusion? Especially if there're different agencies responding? Everyone's familiar with the POLICE logo. SECRET SERVICE could be quite a 'mouthful' to read when shots are being fired!
BTW, there was a discussion over at the Tactical Forum on the ammunition used in the Five-Seven. If I remembered correctly, the chief complaint was that it had inadequate penetration in soft tissue and was little better than a souped-up 0.22in round.

I thought the whole intent of the round used in the P90 and the FiveseveN was that it could penetrate most body armor.

I still think that whole thing was just a rapid-reaction training exercise.
