Greetings,

Im looking for a flashsuppressor(?) for the HK416 rifle, that also have a quick attatch mechanism just like the one that comes with the HK417 kit.
It would be great if the suppressor is a direct bolton on the original HK416 flamehider(?) for fast attach/detach, but it is not a must.

Reviews of diffrent types are appreciated also.
Strenght and durability is keywords.

PS:
Don't know if flashsuppressor is the right name, but it looks like a soundsilencer only that it is to suppress the flash/flame at the barrell exit.

Thanks in advance,
J.Walker

I've seen a 416 with a Vortex FH from Smith Enterprises (http://www.smithenterprise.com/products06.html). If you don't have a permanently attached FH and the threads are the same, there are many different flash hiders to choose from.

I have an AAC flash hider on my 416 upper. Surefire also makes one that fits.

James is correct, HK416 and M16/M4 system all use the same thread, which is 1/2x28RH.

You can basically use any M16 flash hider you desire.

As far as HK417, they do not have a specific flash hider installed, the most I have seen are based on the HK G3 style flash hiders, with some exception of Surefire/BE Meyer flash hider.

If you want to buy a sound suppressors, you have quit a few manufactures to look to...

AAC, Gemtech, KAc or Surefire are some of the big namesx in the field.

the suppressor/flash hider combo you seen on the 417, is it a military unit or some display at a show? if it is display at shows, most likely it is the Surefire with that new BE Meyer flash hider.
