Surfing on the french MoD web site I´ve read that the Gilet pare-balles serie 3, or Bulletproof Vest series 3 is issued to troops on static positions, or that is what I´ve understood. If so, which body armour is issued to troops on combat operations? I´ve have seen some pictures of the day from french soldiers wearing a vest that resembles the Osprey vest but a little bit less bulky, so now I´m confused.
If french army only give body armor to soldiers on static positions it´s a really weird policy.
