I am going to buy a "spork" for outdoor:
http://lightmyfire.com/230-147-spork.htm
http://lightmyfire.com/data/images/dark-green-spork-popup.jpg
The smallest spork, according to website, is "Spork original", 17 cm and 9 grams.
But here is review made by milspecmonkey: http://www.milspecmonkey.com/tools.html
He says about "Super Spork (WTF?) (Made by: Light my Fire) 6.5" Long , Approx 6 grams in weight "
bought from here http://www.countycomm.com/spork.htm
Is this some new special version that is not mentioned by manufacturer on its official website or it is guys from Countycomm misinform us? I am confused, because I want the smallest version of Spork...

ive only ever seen sporks around the 6.5" mark and ive used them quite a bit very good piece of kit but i would carry 2 if i were you as they are quite brittle and break easily

6.5 inches is 16.51 cm. "Spork original" is (they say) 17 cm. Do you think the spork you used is the "spork original"?

The spoon part looks pretty worthless, I imagine it would be pretty frustrating experience to eat soup with that. And the fork looks like it will break pretty easily.
Now this is serious business: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lusikka-haarukka

My friend have some old german WW2 set of fork and spoon (he is collector of WW2 german gear). When I asked him if he want to buy spork too (we go outdoor together) he said "no, I'll stick to the use-proven gear even if it is heavier" :)
But still Im gonna buy a couple of sporks. Ill test it, its inexpensive anyway...
Thanks for help guys! Now I know what I gonna buy.
But still I dont understand why yanks use non-existent name (and characteristics) for this product...

Sporks are overrated. Get a polycarbonate racing spoon.

So far it's worked well but I haven't really tested the limits of it. If you want to save weight it's good.

I've been using one for a couple of years and it's totally adequate for it's purpose. The fork is pretty needless though as I usually end up eating everything with the spoon. Unlike Basillicus doubted, the spoon is fine for eating soup. If you're left handed like me the serration is on the wrong side and uncomfortable to use, but that's what real knives are for.
As a definite upside the plastic feels nice in the mouth and won't get too hot or cold.
It's of course not as durable as the legendary LuHa or other metal utensils but you definitely can't break it just by eating with it, it's not near like those plastic cafeteria forks. I'm pretty sure it won't break if you keep it inside your mess kit and don't try to cut down a tree or dig a trench with it.
BTW speaking of mess kits, the Light my Fire triangular kit is also nice and handy.
They're quite practical, cheap and relatively sturdy.
They suck at eating anything but rations with, since cutting with it is a real hassle. This can be avoided by carrying two.

. .
Actually, Steve Andrews makes a good point, come to think of it, the fork is indeed quite redundant...

What is the weight of "polycarbonate racing spoon" (in grams)?
I think I can agree that fork is not so widely used...

Sorry I found the weight on the link.
20 grams. Two times heavier than Spork but as you say almost indestructible...

Worst piece of equipment for my mess kit (spork that is). I broke two down the middle and one shattered. I switched to a polymer set of utensils for use when I am out in the field. Great idea but poor choice of material used.

It shattered? Im not surprised since its plastic. I saw a spork made of titanium a couple of days ago back here in Sweden. Cost about 20 USD. Try one of those instead of the plastic ones. Work better int the cold aswell. Good luck.

I'd advise a metal implement for strength and those absent minded moments when you suddenly realise that plastics dont like heat - or extreme cold. Having said that, I used a lexan foon for ages until I lost it.
