Read the top part of the article. Interesting stuff. I do not think it is the best way to take care nuclear waste, if depleted uranium equals nuclear waste.

No there are reasons for nuclear waste being contained in concrete blocks behind thick walls, instead of being ground into a fine powder and spread in the wind.
