I have a high opinion about Italian soldiers and they professionality.
Italy never lacked of good soldiers, but politicians!

Never had anything to do with Italian soldiers, but we trained a bit with the Carabinieri at some point. I must say they were a good bunch, professional and with real backbone.
One observation i've had with the Italians is that there seems to be a requirement for males to wear a donut beard in the armed forces.

I have the bare minimum of knowledge about the modern Italian Army. If you've got infomation to contribute about the Italians then i'd be interested to read/see it.
