Hi, i've looked all over google and ebay and can't seem to find any good reproductions of crusades Templar helmets, leggings, chest plating or chain mail. I am also looking for that white over cape with the huge red cross. Any help would be great. thanks

And the award for Most Original Post of the Week goes to.......
I don't know if you'll find exact reproductions at one place, you'll probably have to mix and match from a number of places. Fake medieval helmets and chainmail can't be too hard to find.

Exactly the big crosses are simply cloth cut to a cross and stitched on its not anything elaborate. Basically you need a small pair of leather shoes, with tights of some sort (probably made of scratchy wool, unless your going to be a Lord lol) Mail suit (Shirt & Coif), a nobby Norman helmet a piece of linen cloth with armholes cut in it with a crude cross sewn on then you will probably want a spear or sword.
Are you planning on reenacting the Crusades? or are you just having a little webcam fun?

Make your own chainmail. Its easy, though monotonous, search at youtube for instructions.

You might try googling for 'crusader helmet' rather than strictly templar.
I found this (http://www.a2armory.com/helmetsshields.html) place and this (http://www.darkknightarmoury.com/showproduct.aspx?ProductID=917&SEName=crusaders-tunic) place for helmets and chain mail.

Isn't that what we're doing in Mesopotamia right now?

This is probably the best bet, I am no expert in Norman helmets but the closed big Crusader Helms were pretty rare. Worn mostly by the most rich and powerful knights.

check out "kingdom of heaven" (movie), i think they have some nice scenes of knights in gear (fight scenes also). its not much to go with but it might help.

Are you a serious historical reenactor or just someone who thinks 'Kingdom of Heaven' was historically accurate in every detail?

I've got the impression that Europeans didn't have the technology to make plate armor around the time of crusades so it should definately be mail instead.

Yeps, the best medieval reenactment group in the whole of western Europe (bar Germany of course).
Google "Arn the movie". There you find inspiraton, ita a movie of a templar knight.
Trailer and offical site: http://www.arnmovie.com/
Its a swedish production.
In swedish: "Arn tempelriddaren" and the second film, "Riket vid vägen slut".

This place is just down the road from me in Conyers Ga of all places. They used to carry all the licensed products from "Kingdom of Heaven". Not so much now, but still a bunch of crusades stuff. I notice now you could get a whole Assasins Creed getup for about 3 grand...
