Well last week I posted a pic from last weeks pic at the IAF website, and well this week I see they also have a very interesting pic that I felt would be nice to share over here ;) :D

Here is the new IAF F-16I with the older (and still in service) F-4 Phantom.

Skyhawk in training role, but being phased out. Kfir C-7 may still be listed in ground-support reserve, but reality is its obsolete. No frontline wings use either one.

nice site!
Are still in service A4 and Kfir?I don’t know about the Kfir, but from what I have read, the “Skyhawk” I believe is still in service as a trainer and I believe last year the “Skyhawks” in the IAF went through an Israeli modernization and upgrade program, where all sorts of modern Israeli hardwere and electronics and avionics were installed in it, to enable them to be used as an advance trainer and I believe that is its role today.

Nice pic.
BTW, it was taken on the saltue flight for the outgoing IAF commander, Dan Hallutz.
The Kfir is indeed out of service. a few of may still be stored for a really desperate times for strike or recon duties. The F-4's are as well out of service now, taken over by F-16's.
(maybe now the F-4's will take over the Kfirs in storage).
As said, the A-4 is used as advanced jet trainer.

Any pics of the IAF (fledgling) Bf-109s and Spitfires? Both of which had dogfights in 1948 with late-model (reservist) RAF Spitfires (and won, sadly).
