The Ministry of Defence can confirm that eight Royal navy personnel from the Royal Navy training team based in southern Iraq have been detained by the Iranian authorities while delivering a boat from Umm Qasr to Basrah. The team members were travelling in three boats (two Boston Whalers and one British Army Combat Support Boat) along the Shatt al Arab waterway on 21 June. The boats were unarmed but the crews were carrying their personal weapons.

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office is liaising with the Iranian Government to resolve the situation.

They showed a lot of footage of that on the news a little while ago, not sure if it was Fox or CNN. Sad, seeing three of them laying face down like that. They were stripped of some of their gear though. The bodies are out on the ground, but most of their gear was piled up up against the wall. There was also definately blood on the ground shown in the footage. RIP. :(

No, I didn't even get into the Summer Seminar. :roll: USNA says to keep trying but I've decided to go with the regular college expirence and do NROTC. I still have one more year of high school to figure that out.

Actually, my bro is doing NROTC as well. He got into Summer Seminar and absolutely hated it and decided he didn't want to spend his 4 years of college life under quarantine. He did get accepted into Annapolis but opted for NROTC at University of Colorado when he managed to get a full scholarship out of them.

He just went out on a cruise on a destroyer (USS Milias or something like that) yesterday and is going to be doing that for something like 4 weeks. Last summer they spent a week in four different places, one at Camp Pendleton, one aboard a surface ship, one aboard a sub, and one with an air wing.

Exercise Croix du Sud

Around 150 members of the ADF have deployed to participate in the exercise along with members of the French New Caledonian, New Zealand and Tongan defence forces.

I think its because Memphiz used babblefish to translate it to english. and babbelfish only translates the words and not a sentence as a whole, therefore ****ing up the caption.
