I was researching the Italian defeat at Adowa, in Ethiopia in 1896 and came across this utterly amazing detailed description of the area and people written by a Russian adventurer who moved through the battle field and the countries involved just after the battle. He had friendship with the local tribes and kings and his narrative is of impressive interest. I just thought I would post the web address here for enjoyment of all. Believe me, it is well worth reading if you are a history buff. MM
