My latest project. A simplified AR, but one capable of mounting optics and accessories:

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn163/3crowns_photos/UB2-2-1.jpg

I used a Vltor Midlength VIS monolithic upper, CMMG 14.5" lightweight barrel with Vltor low-profile gas block, and Aimpoint T-1 MRD.

Very lightweight; it fits the bill for a simple but capable general-purpose carbine.

He she is with her counterpart, a "DMR" version:
http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn163/3crowns_photos/UB25-2.jpg

Same basic reciever, but with Sabre 18" barrel and TA-31F ACOG, for enhanced accuracy. Not as expensive or complex as some DMR rifles, but capable nevertheless.

Very nice rifles. I held one of those types of pistol grips on my uncle's rifle a couple days ago, extremely comfortable in my hands and i'd like to get one soon.

BUIS is the only thing Iīd like to see added. Apart from that, it is truely a beauty. Donīt like to see too many accessories on an AR anyway.

My dad got some Magpul stuff on order, should be hear in a couple of weeks.

As for the Tango Down grips, I know I like them, though I can't compare them to a Magpul grip just yet.

I usually go SAW grip when I own an AR. It's the narrowness of the grip where it hits the web of the hand that wears me out. The SAW is the only one that stays thick enough at the top of the taper for me. I haven't tried the Magpul, because I don't like stuff that can fall off of a pistol grip being present. SAW grip, and a Command Arms butt-stock to get rid of rattle (if I happen to have a collapsible carbine) are the only two mods I make, but there is a thread about all that jazz. ;)

They do

shoot a hole in them and they still work:

you can drive over them and they still work:

I heard they don't fit some AR lowers, or the XCR very well (like anyone really cares if they fit the XCR though, right?). Some small problems in that dept. They look all futuristic though! ;)

A Norwegian Army Dude said they donīt fit in the HK 416. If HK did that on purpose to get people to order HK mags for the civilian version, I gotta say it was a truely retarded idea to do so... :(
Way to turn off potential customers.

Anything different from a HK416 mag when compared with a standard NATO mag?

The new Emag lowered the ribbing so it can fit in the HK416 and others.

You're so adorably insecure. I'm digging your KISS rifle. Also, 43 year old's don't use the term "haters." "Clean it up Gibson!" (If you can spot that quote, then you're at least 30.)

I have 5 Pmags ordered them when I was in Afghanistan used them for my C7A2m203.I really like them expensive but nice to have.Good for the range but pricey if you loose one in a firefight stick to the metal ones for ops.

They're heavier and sturdier than NATO magazines, and slightly longer, and they have metal followers.

I've read that it's difficult to fit P-Mags into normal magazine pouches. Can anyone comment on this?

PMAGs still hold the same amount of rounds as a standard magazine, right? 30 rounds?

Yes, provided it's a 30 round magazine.

If you read the original post carefully you'll see that James was referring to HK416 magazines being longer.
