The SEI / Fisher Enterprise M14-DC 7.62 sound suppressor is made for DC Vortex equipped M14s and MK14s...

... but it also works as advertised on this DC Vortex equipped Norinco AKM.

My suppressed T56SHTF performed flawlessly and accuracy seems to have improved.
I fired Golden Tiger and off hand shots @ 30 yards were touching each other http://www.theakforum.net/phpBB2/images/smiles/spotdance.gif

Nice rifles! Although the ctr and crane stocks look weird on them. How do you like firing the EBR from the standing position?

Thanks!

I have no problem shooting the MK14 from a standing position, I like it.

Very nicely done. Can you give us suppressed vs unsuppressed videos of the M1A and the AKM?

Excellent idea, I will work on that.

wow, what a setup! videos would be great. :D

question: I have never seen furniture like that on an M14.. I thought it was just an EBR setup, but it doesnt quite look the same. is it EBR or something else?

It is a SAGE EBR stock, but it's the lighter M14ALCS/CV (http://www.sageinternationalltd.com/si/documents/EBR_M4-M16_VARIANT-Aug19-1.pdf) with a M16/M4 receiver extension tube.
The original SAGE EBR is the M14ALS and looks something like this...

Is there any legal issues attached to owning a silencer?

in the US it is a NFA item, plus certain states have prohibitions.

like Washington, you can own it, just not use it.

depends on which state you are in. More stamps and paper work to pay

Yep the rules in Washington suck. Alot of run around to own suppressors.

How come when shooting sub-sonic ammunition with a suppressor you have to cycle the bolt after every shot? Do you still have to cycle to bolt every time even when there is no suppressor on the rifle?

subsonic ammo doesnt create enough gas to cycle the bolt. i dont know without the can, ive never seen anyone shoot sub sonic without it.

insane video...thanks for posting....one would think that some modifications could be made with the rifle to be set up to use the sub-sonic ammo the entire time such that it would cycle...but that is for people much smarter than me to come up with how

some systems like he MP5SD actually slow the round down to sub sonic speeds, there fore negating the need for sub sonic ammo. in fact, the use of sub sonics in it are a No No.

but in the Actual usage the use of a Suppressor is more use to mask the location of the shot, than to completely silence it.

That is me and my MK14 SEI Mod 0 in that 2006 SilencerTests.com video.
I sold that suppressor before it ever transferred into my name.
You can see the old style had no fluting near the locking collar.

I spoke with Ron Smith and Dave Fisher about cycling subsonic ammo and there is a modification to enlarge
the gas port slightly, but the success of this mod is less than 50%, so I have not attempted the mod.

Awesome! so you can probably answer the question about hand cycling it with out the can.

I never fired subsonic without the can, but I will try it as soon as I procure another supply of EBR Thumper.

It depends...

AK will work with subsonics. It depends on the properties of the cartridge, and more specifically on the pressure level it creates at the gas port.

ive seen that, why is it? is it the diameter of the piston?

I guess it is just the originally oversized gas port.

Awesome, so you were the guy in the vid. I remember seeing that vid a couple years back and thinking how nice that M1A was, haha.
