is it part of Turkish culture or defense tools against school bullies?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7924441.stm

Among those asked, 15% said they carry a weapon of some sort, including knives or razor blades.

This report found that one-in-seven 12 to 17 year olds in Turkey carry a weapon to school on a regular basis. Almost 6% of them carry a gun.

More than 500 people were killed by firearms in Istanbul alone last year. One in 20 of them were children.

They can't...because they set a bad example themselves by carrying guns on the daily bases. Untill a few years ago ,they were even allowed to carry in the grand assembly hall. This right of theirs were revoked when an MP shot and killed an another MP from the opposition side...now they can not take their guns into the hall.

God damn hypocrats.

BTW, I'm pro gun, but carrying in the parlieament is a no-no for me. Hard political discussions and guns just don't mix..

Isn't there a sticky warning thread to Turkish members here on militaryphotos too because some of them threatened the mods with violence.

Anger management seems to be a real problem in Turkey.
