Hello all! I've got this picture here, and I want to know where the little scarf (or whatever you call it) seen on the man first in the picture came from, and what it's purpose is, if any.

It is probably around his neck just so his collar does not chafe his neck or just to keep the breeze out.

Personally I dont like the idea of usign camoflauge paint on my neck so Id just wear that to camoflauge my entire neck... This proves especially usefull in airsoft combat HAHAHAHA...

That looks like a shemagh to me. Native to the Middle East, but originated in Britain. It is supposed to be used as a general purpose item. I have one and they are pretty cool. :)

Its called a scrim net/scarf, the Brits love em. Great for camoflauge on yourself and equipment(especially your rifle)
