Someone sent it to me. Not sure how's accurate this is, but if this indeed the vicious circle between home owner-broker-lender-bank-investor as it is described, than perhaps the weakest link (the irresponsible distribution of mortgages) should be somehow government regulated. Just a totally naive ignorant and n00bish 2 cents of mine.

I know little about economics but this visualisation fits with how I understand it. Looking back at how this happened across the globe it seems so obviously stupid. But, hey, what do I know.... :-(

From a design perspective, it's amazing. Really well done.

Methinks that all this is caused by the simple fact that people play with money which is either not theirs or doesn't exist at all. Back in the good old days, people kept it under the mattress and everything worked out fine.
