Blackhawk S-70 in China

1980's was the honeymoon of sino-us relation. China bought 24 S-70 in 1984 and mainly deployed in Tibet since PLA didn't have any helicopter to use at such high altitude. Due to the 6.4 incident, US lay embargo on China. Without adequte parts supply, only part of that batch can still fly today.

That's not a copy, China bought 24 Blackhawk's from U.S. in 1984.

You miss understood, I know that China bought some from the US. My question is why didn't China copy the design and make their own version after deliveries and support from the US stopped?
