Not in reference to the US military decoration.

Will the government of Afghanistan and the government of Iraq create and issue a service ribbon/medal similar to the Kuwait Liberation Medal issued by the Kuwaiti governement to military personnel who participated in the Liberation of Kuwait (Qualfied US military personnel were authorize to accept and wear the medal in 5th class) or the Vietnam Campaign Medal issued by South Vietnam?

I know it is probably not the priority of these governments considering their are more important issues but I suspect that those governments want to (or at least should) honor qualified native and foreign military personnel that served and supported/assisted Iraq and Afghanistan?
Whether the US military refuses the wear on uniform is irrelevant just that the government of Iraq and government of Afghanistan are extending their appreciation.

Good question. I have not heard *anything* about anything similar to the following -

"Kuwait Liberation Medal - KU"
"Kuwait Liberation Medal - SA"
"Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal"
"Republic of Korea War Service Medal"

But who knows - or cares that much really?
