having proper protection when skiing ie an actual helmet designed for skiing is more paramount than looking "cool"
buy a proper ski helmet and be done with it. potentially trusting your life to a cheap piece of chinese sh*t is inadvisable

for $51.50+plus shipping, you can buy a real ski helmet. plus you'd look like a retard skiing with some fake military helmet on your head.

ahaaa ok! Will Do Will Do!
Schysta idea Jaemten! Seriously.
Get a helmet by Briko/Carrera/POC/Scott with a Ski Federation sticker on it (certified and all that) and you're good to go.
Were do you ski if you don't mind me asking? Are?:)

Wut he said. Check out Pro-Tec's snow helmets or even their skate board helmets. You can get them on eGey too.
Check here for more info:

i think you would be able to modify a MICH helmet so it can be used as a Ski helmet

Wearing a MICH helmet while skiing would be like wearing a Tapout t shirt or sticker on your car. Instant douchebag identificator. Not good at all.
Furthermore look at the shape of the thing, imagine falling on your upper back-neck-head with that on. Chances are your neck would snap! There's a reason ski helmets have a certain shape.
BAD BAD BAD idea overall. Don't do it.

I worked in a sporting goods store, none of the people in the ski department wore helmets. Most of them admitted that they thought they were unnecessary unless ski racing and were selling them because of the high profit margin.
I say wear one if you like the way it looks. Who gives a sh!t what anyone else thinks! If you really want to wear a helmet for safety though, as others have said, go for a helmet designed for the sport.

well I don't ski on the black level without a helmet, but for intermediate, I try to do what I can.

I ski black diamonds without a helmet all the time.... of course that is on ski HILLS in Minnesota. To give you an idea, I've seen garbage dumps with more vertical feet! rofl

This is what I wear, saves the face from branches and keeps my teeth in my mouth. I used to wear a protec skate helmet all the time, but it is now only for spring skiing...

The problem with wearing a fake military helmet is this, no ventilation, not built for impact over a slight ding and looking like a *****.
Back when I learned to ski in the east we had rules for spotting bad skiers. Camo or military equipment of any kind - fully matching equipment (color, brand, ect.) any sports team logo gear besides a hat.
So if you want to look like a giant ***** who cant ski, you would be good to buy a real ski helmet.

Protec B2, has Plantronics headphones in it for hooking up to Ipod/Mp3 player and has a volume control on the ear which makes it easy to turn down.
