Wow, just got back from a Van Halen Concert at the MCI Center. All I have to say is, before you die, go see Van Halen in concert, my god I loved it. Eddie had a 15 minute guitar solo that everyone loved and they did two encors.

Amazing group, go see them.

Cool -- did they do any good old stuff like "Runnin' with the Devil?"

They did most of their old songs, Panama, Jump, Unchained, Ain't Talking About Love. No Running with the Devil though, nor Mean Streets.

Unchained kicks ass. Beautiful Girls?

Yeah, Unchained was amazing, nothing was better then Eddies guitar solo, his son came out with him in the last five minutes, no Beautiful Girls.

Nope, afraid not, good song though. They played alot more, but I was too deaf to understand what he was saying.

I just bought four tickets to Rush, August 3. Please God let them only play stuff from prior to 1990.

I would only go see them if I had a time capsule and could go back to the Diver Down tour. Diamond Dave, baby!

Hot For Teacher

When I saw the video I didn't realise there was music playing.

Damn old Van Halen rules. You have got to love the intro for 'hot for teacher". I'd only see a Van Halen concert if David Lee Roth was singing. New Van Halen is crap.

I saw VH w/ David Lee at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum on the 1984 tour, and then w/ Sammy on 5150 tour in Memphis. Needless to say, there was no comparison. The 1984 concert is, hands down, the best concert I have ever seen.

Then I saw Dave by himself last summer at Chastain here in ATL. It was great. Nearly as good as 1984.

Diamond Dave is the man.

True, Dave was probably, hands down, one of the best frontmen ever. Now, he's just kind of creepy and sadly pathetic.

Agreed....saw Van Halen fronted by DLR...their last gig in Philly...my first concert....it rocked....

I think I just saw DLR on a Sopranos episode, playing poker...a couple of years ago I caught him being interviewed on a music channel down here.....he was a right pr!ck.
