Actually all of our children will be half starved in a matter of time, so he'll probably stick to hardier game.

Well, if you were American you can quit your job and have Uncle Sam, or in this case Uncle Obama, give you all kinds of free goodies. As it stands, American soverienty is up to the highest bidder. Kinda like Blaggovitch in Chicago!

Whats he trying to say? we have no control of our economy?

No. He is fear mongering. He's trying to say that an international body will have regulatory control over private US companies, and he's way overreaching.

First, as a matter of law the Feds do not yet have the extent of authority he's describing. It would require an act of Congress for the Feds to receive this degree of power, by either ratifying a treaty or passing law.

Next, the idea that financial regulations would be harmonized among the 20 largest nations is a GOOD thing. The US does not need an imbalance where on G20 nation's nations are more attractive to capital then the US and capital flight to that nation ensues. This is the level playing field so many people claim they want.

Is there a possibility for abuse and draconian rule over private US companies... yes. But its a problem easily solved if the populist movement demonizing businesses, bankers and CEO's would chill out and allow the market to clear the battlefield of the losers in the de-leveraging meltdown.

Oh puhleeze...Soverienty [sic]?

Just because Obama didn't browbeat the G20 summit into licking America's balls like a "real American" should, he's giving away too many concessions? Maybe you missed the campaign - that whole change thing your lot said wouldn't happen? This is it.

Dude I'm not that optimistic. I'll wait three years before I even buy any. But I doubt this is the unmitigated disaster it's made out to be.

Idiots and liberals apply labels where they lack the logic to argue with reality. BTW I despise most politicians, "liberal or right wing" They all suck or blow and the net effect is the same.

I hate to rain on your neocon parade but the entire American economy has been a socialist welfare experiment for failing corporations subsidized by the rest of the world for years. And you only just noticed
