The RAAF has just announced that it is retiring the Bushranger gunships, currently serving with 7 squadron i believe. (these are basically hueys with miniguns and rockets) They are being replaced by the Tiger, but its sad to see them go, i think only 8 of the 20 that served in vietnam are still flying.

they are having the weapons removed and put into service purely as transporters.

funny,

your guys are sad to see that puppy go, and most canadians can't wait for the seakings to go (we're sick of hearing about parts of our aircraft or the eholw aircraft falling from the sky)

Did an exercise at the high range behind Townsville in the mid 90's. Couple of bushrangers conducted prep fires for the final attack.

"Ain't nothin like the sound of an inbound huey"

BRAAAAAAAAAAAAARP!
