The LVT-7 and AAV-7 are roughly identical chassis. Some modifications have been made for greater logisitcal interchanability, primarily with the M2/M3 Bradley chassis, but for the most part it remains the same. The new turret, armor, and engine, as well as, improved internal systems are really what seperates the two vehicles. You take that EAAK armor off and the AAV-7 series vehicles are virtually indescernable from their LVT-7 counterparts.
