Now that F-35 has been selected for all branches of U.S. military, is there any chance both the Navy Blue Angels and Air Force Thunderbirds will once again use the same aircraft?

If that happens it will make F-35 the second aircraft in aviation history to serve simultaneously with both U.S. air demonstration teams since the Phabulous Phantom.

theres a chance, but if the navy did switch wouldnt the super hornet be a more likely choice?

they already are on the Hornet right now, honestly it would be so sweet if they switched to Tomcats...I love that bird.

if I remember right those teams get the birds that are being phased out of service.. so the F-35's would have to be at their end of life for the teams to get them.

possible...yes.... just going to be a long wait first.

It would be fun to see them do some hovering maneuvers.

What an utterly pointless topic.

What an utterly pointless topic.

At least there is one sensible post in this thread. ;)
