the "new camo" is definately more Western-like....getting away from the camo patterns of the former soviet bloc.

Nice equipment. You Poles know how to field a decent airforce. :)

Airforce Sign caled checkmate

CHESSBOARD :bash:

About new cammo- the low-visibility effect is screwed by that big and shiny chessboard. They should make them smaller (like these on C-295) and/or paint the white fields in light gray- like Navy does.

Nice pics woot

What will become of the Mig-29's and SU-22's when F-16's start entering Polish AF service?

tony6
06-27-2004, 03:22 AM
F-16 will replace MiGs-21 (which are now withdrawn) and some of the Su-22s.
MiGs29 stay-they will be slightly upgraded to fulfill NATO requeriments.

mates but MiG23 where out in 98 or something like that and MiGs 21 arent in service from January thats why i didn't post them

As for Su22 in 80' we bought around 100of them now in service there is only 80 (few crashed and few are used as parts storage:() and in next few years only 60of them will remain in service maybe litle refitted with help from IAI/Elbit or BAE, they will remain in service to around 2012-2015 maybe 2020
for MIG 29 at first (80') we had only 12 MIG29A and 2 MIG29UB then we made deal with CzechRep.(91') and gaved them W-3W Sokol helos for their 12 MiG29 and 1 MiG29UB and in last year Germany gaved us 24 MiG29G and 4 MiG29UB maybe we will make deal with MIG factory and for all our MIG21bis they will give us next MiG29's they should be upgraded to SMT (or M2 hmm don't remember) standard or maybe special Polish modernisation but we are low on cash. they will remain in service up to 2020
