Yep, Unertl, just as the man himself says...

Skip to 4:04 in part 3 to hear him discuss how it transpired.

Yep, that's near the beginning of his book.

Hathcock goes into detail how he mounted his 10x Unertl onto the M2 and how the cyclic rate was slow enough to discharge one round at a time using the butterfly trigger. He descibes Charlie transporting goods on the handlebars of a bike and how his first shot hit the fork first, sending the bike tail over. Then Charlie grabbed an AK to his detriment.

His description in the video was a bit diffferent than in the book, but I read it in the early 90's so I could be a bit hazy in my interpretation.

I saw that documentary awhile back, pretty interesting stories he told. He counter-sniper an NVA sniper sent to kill him and shoot the bullet into the guys scope and into the guys eye without the bullet touching the sides of the scope. Some serious skills that old fella had.

Wasn't that the kid that he killed, he didn't shoot intensionally to kill the kid but scare him off but the kid shot back so he had no choice but to shoot him.
