I really want to try a molle 2 and most of its accessories. I read some reviews and most of them said that the frame sucked real bad. So i searched it and found this:http://www.rstacticalgear.com/pd_molle.cfm. Anyone know if this is compatible?

Also if anyone has experience with the Molle 2 system, feedback will be greatly appreciated!

That's work to be delegated to the junior enlisted. p-)

ALICE pack is better, and probably cheaper.

And you can throw it around like a sandbag if you want to.

The original MOLLE frames' quality has turned me off to the whole line. I found an old alice pack at a pawn shop, cleaned it up, and sent it to tactical tailor, now its unbeatable. A couple friends from 173rd had ACU molle pack frames break on jumps and over time in afghanistan, feeding my continued dislike of the system.

I didn't even know those were jumpable. We still issue alice packs in Battalion.

I didnt think they were either, may have just been their particular BCs or someone else who thought they were smarter than the army. In my SBCT, just about everyone over E4 went out and got their own, had TT mess with it, and we've loved them ever since. It was nice being in lewis and having the army toss money at us for a change

I don't have any experience on the molle frames. What I done was I took my Canadian Pattern 64 frame (Copy of US Issued Vietnam Rucksack frame) and I strapped my Molle II main pack to it. Had to get acouple of nylon straps for the lower buckles.

The Molle shoulder straps were a pain in the butt to figure out because I couldn't attach them to this frame the way it was meant to be attached on the molle frames. I had to run the straps back & forth several times through the buckles, backwards, forwards, etc. It looks like a maze. I can't even remember how I did it but they are on very secure... haven't had the chance to try the whole rig out to see how well it'll work..

I have been searching the web for about 2 hours now trying to find someone or a site that sells a full canteen set (canteen, cup, stove, and pouch) and a mess kit. I have fully given up. If anyone knows where i can find all of that at one place please reply.
Thanks

I could come up with 20 sources without even searching.

Brigade Quartermasters, US Cav, IPMS, SC Surplus, etc, etc, etc.
