Yeah...the only democrat that voted no had concerns about separation of church and state. Hawaii...who would have thunk it?:cantbeli:

Do they have a Christian Day? I just hope that they include every religion in their lawmaking. My question would be "why?"

Obama+Hawaii+Islam Day= Dun Dun Dun...:) If I were a lawyer representing the "Islam Day lobby" I'd argue that the Constitution calls for separation of Church and State, not Mosque and State. Besides, our forefathers never had Islam on their minds. rofl

I'm not sure the ACLU will fight against the home team on this one. They, along with CAIR, have always been one in the same to me.

Thomas Jefferson had a copy of the Koran. Also this is why we need stricter laws for a bigger wall separating church/mosque/funny house and state.

I think this is often taken out of context. Jefferson was well read, collecting books for his personal library. Remember, books in those days were a relatively rare commodity with only the well healed or wealthy able to maintain collections.

As for Islam Day. The ACLU may bow out until they can wipe out Christmas and Easter in Hawaii and everywhere else.
