Awesome, thanks a lot you fat commie scumbag. Not only did he owe us billions because of Venezuela's need for oil services that he refused to pay for, but now he decided to steal our equipment and pumping stations.

These are going to be run into the ground by the same guys that strike because they aren't getting paid by the service companies...when the service companies aren't getting paid by PDVSA. So because of the cheap price of oil, they nationalize hoping to keep the oil workers happy and not rioting or taking to the streets.

So when their infrastructure is completely broken, the cash cow of their oil fields won't help anymore...because who is going to go in there and not get paid and lose all their facilities?
Goddamn Socialists...just another name for thieves.

Funny thing is that he hasn't taken over the company where my step-dad works, a company who is partly owned by Enron and Williams, ans also a small Venezuelan company Tecnoconsul. Everytime I talk to him he keeps telling me that they don't know when it's going to happen, but not any time soon since the company is not as big as the others. Another thing is taht the workers get their paid reduced, dunno how much but they do.

My company is like 4th in the food chain there...I'm sure you can rattle off the top three without thinking. Pass on my wishes of good luck to your dad. It's coming.

No surprise on this move.

Last year Chavez was inviting oil companies to invest in Venezuela becouse state controled industry was doing so poorly and we comented that he will nationalise their investments when he feels like. The time came, their investments are now in his hands to ruin as he has ruined other buisnisses he nationalised.

With lower oil prices, the cushion that Chavez needs to make these soon to be corrupt, inefficient, and crony filled nationalized companies profitable is not there. The ruin will come, but Chavez and his buddies won't be able to loot them quite as much as they'd hoped.

What's the name of your company? And at the moment my step dad is looking for job out of Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Canada are some of the countries where he is applying, hopefully something will come through

Indeed, you have no idea how much money PDVSA ownes to many companies, one of them being where my step-dad works, around 60 million dollars, at least that's what he told me, it could be more.
