Ah - the Leo1A5.
I did my army time as gunner on one of these things.
(And I prefer it to the Leo 2A4 that has really awful controls compared to the Leo1.)

Hahaha, our soccer team is good AND lucky! Thanks Germany ;) ! Haha. I was a maintenace corporal on the weapon system of the Leopard 2A4, and after 1997 on the Leopard 2A5. A total different ball game! eeven the Leo 2A4 and A5 are totaly different (hydrolic vs. Electrics). I'm still suprized how accurate the gun of the Leo is: hitting a target with the size of a soccer ball isn't a hard task! Germany makes the best tanks in the world! Thanks Germany!

I agree,Germany made the best tank
:) Don’t underestimate Leo1A5. They remain effective in defensive role even today.
Pros:
Relatively good targeting system
Very low figure
Good mobility
Low weight (integrates perfectly with light infrastructure – narrow streets)
Cons:
105mm gun (newer era rounds corrects some of this disadvantage)
Light armor
