I know this is a joke, but the flag was a real flag. So I'm just curious why I haven't seen hot a thread of this cheesy PC flag at all. I suspect the Iraqis rejected outright, I sure would. Talk about way out of touch with Arab culture in color choice and design.

Is this stil the new flag? I know I see the old flag, of a variant of it, on the uniforms of the Iraqis today.

Just seen Allawi in his speach on CNN.There were like 20 old Iraqi flags with "Allahu Akhbar" on them as if to mock this one..

this flag is gonna piss off alot of Iraqis. I can see them all now, complaining about it looks to "Isrealish".

They should have just gone back to the pre-saddam flag.

I think the fact that the old Iraqi flags have been flying since the handover shows somewhat what the Iraqi people think of the new flag ;).

yea... the pre-saddam flag sounds best imo... basicly, its the iraqi flag without the writing. Also, the kurdish flag is the iraqi flag, with a big yellow sun in the imddle and no green stars or writing...


interesting flag though... hehe :P

It looks like a combination of Turkey, Israel and Sweden flags.

P.S. I tought that they didn't like it.

the "New flag" was phased out. The Iraqi flag hasn't changed in ages why should they change it now.

that "new flag" was a damn stupid idea. In a culture of very old traditions it was a direct insult.
