I've seen several home made flamethrowers using super soakers and easy items but this one is truly amazing! Homemade and effective!

though that is nucking futs and sweet, i thought the intro paragraph was more entertaining
Like any red-blooded, masculine man of the male gender, I love PVC weaponry. You should too. If the concept of heading on down to the local Home Depot and transforming $100 worth of random pipe bits into a killing machine doesn’t appeal to you, you’re a goddamn pansy. Also, you’re probably sane and will live significantly longer than I will. Nonetheless you disgust me, and I take comfort in the knowledge that your obituary will be nowhere near as humorous as mine. For those of you who laugh in the face of hypersonic shards of plastic puncturing your spleen, here’s an intimate look at how I’ve kept myself busy for the past week
Totally changin subject, I apologize in advance.
Anybody ever make one of those potato canons? I had a friend when I lived in texas who made a canon out of PVC that shot potatos a country mile. He filled it with lighter fluid and set it off with one of those Coleman stove igniters. It was awesome. Anyway, this just made me think of that.

Nice avatar, Hank. :)
I have used two potato cannons at different times in my life. At one point, a friend of the family built one for us and we used high-quality liquid fuel for propellant, and we could get some pretty nice distances (400m or so). I've also used cheap hair spray recently on a newly built cannon, and I was able to get 200m or so.
I'm thinking about making a Paris-Potato-Gun, or PPG. It would be more of a siege weapon with a semi-permanent fix in my backyard. Maybe make the pipe 30 feet long or more, and the same size bore of an ordinary tater-cannon. I'm wondering if I would be able to break 1 or 2 miles with that. :D (likely not, but that's my goal)
